Credo offers a research tips, visual exploration of concepts, and subject topics to browse for ideas and begin the research process.

Evaluating Websites

When choosing a website as a source for research, it is important to know and understand where the information is coming from and if it is truth or fact.  The CRAAP Method is a great tool to use to evaluate websites.

Books and eBooks

Search the library catalog from the homepage for both eBooks and physical books.

Checkout books related specifically to Dental Assisting on ProQuest  or EBSCOHost.

Test Preparation

PrepSTEP provides career preparation for Dental Assistants. 

Once you have accessed PrepSTEP, complete the Registration to setup your own personal account.  Once your registration is complete, you will have access to Practice Exams and eBooks for dental assisting exam preparation. 

DANB CDA Practice Test

Mometrix offers a free practice test with 36 questions for the CDA exam.

Dental Assistant Practice Exam

Tests.com offers a free 50-question practice test for DANB's CDA exam.

Accessing Resources Off-Campus

Off-Campus Access

Many library resources are accessible online 24/7. Some library content can only be accessed from home after being authenticated as a student. 

If you are trying to access a library database or ebooks, you will be prompted to login before gaining access. 

Below is an example of the login screen you should see.  

Your username is your Trenholm State student email and your password is your email password.

Example:

Username: A0999999@alabama.edu

Password: Trenholm student email password
